About Jill

Jill McAlpine is a strategist, operator, and founder of inpurpose.

She brings over 20 years of leadership experience across business, organisational change, and public service. Jill started her career in hospitality, taking over as General Manager of a 100+ room hotel at the age of 22. It’s where she learned how to lead under pressure and get the best out of people to deliver results that count.

From there, she moved into the public sector - first leading several corporate improvement projects, then spending nearly a decade as Chief of Staff to a Member of Parliament, alongside running her own entrepreneurial projects, including a successful e-commerce start-up and a mentorship business, before founding inpurpose - an organisational and strategic development agency.

Her work has spanned strategy, policy, and delivery at the highest levels, with a focus on navigating complexity, driving change, and building relationships that matter.

Through inpurpose, Jill now works directly with founders and leadership teams inside their businesses. She helps them get clear on what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to shift. Then she leads that change with them, bringing together clear strategy, embedding systems, and building team capacity so the business can grow without everything resting on the founder.
